What is supposed to happen on August 12, 2026? Social media is filled with extraordinary claims about the date—from a solar eclipse and planets appearing across the sky to meteors, falling stars and even viral claims that Earth could somehow lose gravity for seven seconds.

But how much of it should you actually believe?

In this episode of The Endtime Show, Vince Stegall and Doug Norvell examine the August 12 rumors, separate viral speculation from the events actually expected in the heavens, and then tackle the bigger question: Could any of this have prophetic significance?

According to the show research, there is no credible evidence of a leaked NASA document saying Earth will lose gravity for seven seconds on August 12. What is expected are remarkable celestial events, including a total solar eclipse, planets visible across the predawn sky and the Perseid meteor shower. Those events have natural explanations—but that doesn't mean Christians should ignore what the Bible says about the heavens.

Jesus specifically warned of coming “signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars”in Luke 21. Isaiah, Joel, Matthew, Mark and Revelation also describe extraordinary events involving the sun, moon and stars surrounding the Day of the Lord and the return of Jesus Christ.

But there's a critical detail often missing from viral prophecy speculation: Jesus gave us a prophetic sequence.

Matthew 24 and Mark 13 place the dramatic darkening of the sun and moon, the falling of the stars and the shaking of the heavens after the Tribulation, immediately preceding Christ's return.
