When life feels loud, hurried, and heavy, it’s easy to drift into survival mode, trying to be your own provider, protector, and guide. In this message, Pastor Steve Schobert brings you face to face with Jesus’ diagnosis of the crowd: sheep without a shepherd, weary, scattered, and running on empty. Then he anchors the whole thing in John 10: Jesus isn’t offering a better self-help plan. He’s offering Himself, the Door to safety and the Shepherd who leads you to pasture.
Through Psalm 23 and the promise of abundant life, Schobert reminds us that the valleys are real, but so is the Shepherd’s presence. The enemy steals slowly, but Jesus restores deeply. If you walked into this year tired, anxious, or striving to “do better,” the answer isn’t more strength or more answers. It’s getting closer to the One who lays down His life for the sheep.
