Cathedrals can be stunning and still be empty. In this message, Pastor Dustin Hanson asks the question underneath abandoned sanctuaries and busy modern lives alike: what actually makes a space sacred? From Eden to the Tabernacle to the Church, he shows that holiness isn’t built by architecture, nostalgia, or tradition, it’s formed by purpose and presence. God designs spaces where He meets with humanity, and when that purpose is forgotten, even the most beautiful rooms become hollow.
Then the message turns personal and uncomfortable in the best way. Sacred space isn’t primarily a building in North Dallas, it’s you. Through the Spirit, the Church becomes God’s dwelling place, and your life becomes a living temple. Hanson pushes past inspiration into alignment: if Jesus walked through the rooms of your habits, entertainment, thoughts, and conversations, would He feel at home? Not as condemnation, but as an invitation to live consecrated in a secular world.
